Welcome to jill hodge

I am an artist printmaker living in Cramond, Edinburgh and work from my recently converted garage/fully equipped printmaking workshop.  

Here I combine many processes including etching, screen prints, monotype and photopolymer to create my original landscape prints. Working in an untraditional way of fine art printing I create small editions of unique prints. Using many layers I build the image with multiple plates of differing transparencies, texture, line and colour.

My work is inspired by the changing weather and seasonal colours of landscapes ranging from East Lothian to the Yorkshire Moors and includes the desertscapes of the Middle East.

I have always been passionate about the various printmaking processes and love sharing this knowledge with others.  I am now offering small, intimate and fun printmaking workshops where absolutely no experience is required.
